Wowww, 8 for Slumdog. Yeah. After watching both, I think why it won Best Picture was due mainly to the cinematography. It was so much more consistent in Slumdog than Ben Button, in my opinion at least. BB had some great moments, but I didn't think it flowed that well unfortunately. Also, the Slumdog story was relatively original throughout. Yes, BB has an intriguing catch in the plot, but it followed a very classic (and predictable) plot outline.

i am a huge fan of benjamin button, and really wish that it had won. i kinda knew that wasn't going to happen with all the buzz slumdog was getting. i did like slumdog, and i think that the reason it won was that it was more uplifting. i also thought it had a clever story structure.
